Endorsement
in prima facie order |
Before
passing a cheque, the cancellation officer shall ensure that the endorsement
made thereon is prima facie in order. |
Courtesy
title not allowed |
In
case of individuals, it is not accompanied by a courtesy title. |
Endorsement
to correspond with the name of cheque |
In
case of individuals, the spellings of the endorsement correspond with the
spelling of the name of the payee given on the cheque. |
Cheque
endorsed by constituted attorney. |
In
case of individuals, cheque endorsed by a constituted attorney is in fact
signed by a constituted attorney to the satisfaction of the bank. |
Signature
and designation on the follow name of payee |
In
case of clubs and societies: ·
The name of the payee is followed by the signature
and designation of the officer-bearer, endorsing the cheque. ·
If the cheque is payable to the holder of an
officer, without specifying the name of
the office bearer, the endorsement includes the signature and the
designation of the office bearer such as : For and on behalf of Rotary Club Zaman Murshed Treasurer. |
